Born in 1904 from a friendship between Louis Cartier and aviator Alberto Santos Dumont, this iconic timepiece was one of the first wristwatches ever created. The medium model features a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 1847 MC, housed in a steel case with a distinctive 7-sided crown set with a faceted synthetic spinel. Its silvered opaline dial is complemented by steel sword-shaped hands and protected by sapphire crystal, while the steel bracelet includes the “SmartLink” adjustment system for a perfect fit. A second calfskin strap with an interchangeable steel folding buckle is also included, both utilizing the “QuickSwitch” interchangeability system for effortless style changes.
